February 2010 Charity-of-the-Month
ClearView’s February Charitable Donation Benefits
Local Residents through Calgary Family Services
With donation, ClearView president Kyle Lumsden hopes to help Calgary residents heal from relationship challenges, depression, anxiety, and coping with trauma.
We invited local organizations to enter our $1,000 charitable giveaway. Each month we draw a name at random from the pool of entries.
In February 2010 we drew another winner: Calgary Family Services.
We are excited to present a $1,000 donation to this organization that provides counseling to Calgary residents. Counseling sessions provided at the center help individuals and families with such issues as:
- relationship and family challenges
- anxiety
- depression
- coping with change and loss
- dealing with past and current traumatic experiences
Contribution Will Help Individuals Gain Skills to Overcome Depression, Anxiety and Other Challenges – and It’s Available in Multiple Languages
With the pace and stresses of life, many people turn to the counseling center to learn the skills they need to overcome these challenges. The center is also uniquely prepared to provide counseling in many languages, including English, French, Spanish, Vietnamese, Polish, Mandarin and Cantonese.
The counselor will work with you, your partner, and your family to identify challenges and concerns, strengths and resources, and your goals.
Calgary Family Services provides counseling to everyone living in Calgary regardless of age, cultural background, race, sexual orientation or faith.
FREE Workshops Share Skills That Will Strengthen Relationships, Breakthrough the Depression Barrier, and Effectively Deal with Anger
In addition to counseling, Calgary Family Services offers free workshops that teach skills on improving interpersonal relationships, overcoming depression, and dealing with stress and anger.
